First Atlantic Nickel & Cobalt Corp. has discovered multiple zones of awaruite across the 30-kilometre long Pipestone XL ophiolite complex in Newfoundland enriched in nickel, cobalt, and chromium.

Awaruite (Ni₃Fe) is a rare high-grade magnetic nickel-iron-cobalt alloy (Ni-Fe-Co) that reduces reliance on foreign processing by bypassing the midstream smelting bottleneck and going direct to downstream North American stainless steel, electric vehicle, aerospace, and defense industries.

No smelter. No roasting. No high-pressure acid leaching. No acid mine drainage.
